I’ve just started reading this book, which is a compilation of cat stories. The introduction goes like this … we know the least about the cat. That doesn’t mean we love them any less, in fact, the air of mystery each cat carries is one of the reasons we love them so much.
Will only be able to tell whether I like/dislike this book only after I’ve finished reading it. So, I will talk more about “FOR THE LOVE OF CATS” another day.
I would however like to talk about my nails. I heard that emerald green is the colour of 2013, so I decided to paint my nails this colour. Is the hue too overwhelming? I just wanted a dazzling start to a brand new year. I think it looks kind of cool. Got it done at the Dr Soho outlet in Aeon Bukit Indah, Johor Baru, at RM25.
The indulgence continues with a Chinese dessert treat which comprises the snow fungus, gingko and longan. Snow fungus, known as the poor man’s bird nest’s, is believed to have health benefits such as improving blood circulation, strengthening of the respiratory system and has anti-ageing properties.
Gingko is said to prevent memory loss as it improves the blood flow to the brain, while the longan is known to have a calming effect on the nervous system and also invigorates the heart and spleen. As health is important in the measurement of one’s quality of life, please do not neglect health for any reason. But don’t overdo it either on the consumption of this dessert as it is sweet and reducing sugar intake is also vital to staying healthy.
Last but not least, sleep which is the nourisher of life, is extremely important to one’s well-being and this is what I want to indulge in right now. Selamat malam and pleasant dreams.
